It's a mad MAN's World

This blog is about today's women who are viewed from men's perspective. This happens predominantly in the media and this also influences the thoughts of the people. Now a days, talking about women in media has become a fashion statement just like CSR for the companies. There is some mistakes from the women's part also. I don't know whether they are influenced by the men or they themselves feel lower of themselves when they celebrate certain people as 'great women achievers'. I'm sorry i'm of the opinion that they belong to the category of 'achievers' and the gender doesn't have to play any role.

I use to read quiet a few of magazines. Suddenly i came across all the magazines specking about women. That's because its was the women's day's week and month. And one more thing i noticed is that all the magazines and the media were celebrating the 'so called women' achievers like politicians, actresses, and of course entrepreneurs who had and still have a very good background. The worst case is with the women entrepreneurs where those celebrated as women entrepreneurs were doing cooking business, teaching/coaching business, Child and of course pet care business, management consultancy and not to leave the HR folks.

People now a days think that women should do only these kind of businesses and they are also projecting only these women. None had a story about the Self help groups which are doing a wonderful job in many of the districts. A particular SHG in vedharanyam is all set to change the town into a natural farming area. The problem is that they are not flashy rite? So the media is projecting actresses (who have a good background), entrepreneurs (businesses that is quiet easy to start), politicians (who's relatives are also politicians), and some CEO's who have taken over from their parents and some really great achievers only to turn your attention.

The same case happens in the advertisements and the films as well where whatever the male director thinks of as how a women's character should be, it'll be like that without doing proper homework. Hey, here i'm just complaining about most of the crowd and not some particular ones who are really talented and doesn't do the mistakes mentioned above.

I really liked when one of my classmate was fighting with me when i jovially said girls are meant only for HR (its a soft job, that's y this comment). That's the kind of spirit i expect and i'm sure many women including my mom are having it. The thing is they'll not get the media attention.

Today's women - I have a word for u.

Don't let these people showcase you from their perspectives and do be of an opinion that you are not only meant for the women's day...

This is my humble viewpoint in this issue.
